Michael Amidon founded Weight Loss Coffee Works after years of watching friends and family cycle through diet fads that promised the moon and delivered heartburn. He wanted to make one small change well: turn the cup of coffee people already drink every morning into something a little more thoughtful.
Twelve years later, we still roast every batch by hand at our Southfield facility. We know our farmers by name. We answer our own phones. And we still won't put anything in a bag that we wouldn't hand our own kids.
If it wouldn't sit in a farmer's pantry, it doesn't belong in our coffee. No artificial sweeteners, no proprietary blends, no mystery powders.
Every bag is dated with its roast day. Every lot has a lab report. Every farm we work with has a name and a face.
