How to brew a cleaner cup at home
Four small tweaks to your pour-over that dramatically reduce bitterness without changing the beans.
Read article →We hand-roast small batches of high-altitude beans selected for a clean, naturally sweet cup — the kind that pairs beautifully with mindful mornings, intermittent fasting, and a healthier daily ritual.
Every bean we roast is selected for clarity, low bitterness, and a naturally rounded body — so you can enjoy a satisfying cup without piling on cream and sugar.
We source from family farms above 1,400 meters in Colombia, Ethiopia, and Guatemala — elevations that produce denser, sweeter beans with brighter natural sugars.
Slow profiles on a vintage Probat drum roaster preserve the bean's inherent sweetness, so the coffee tastes great black — no sugar required.
Nothing sits on a shelf. Every order is roasted within 48 hours of shipping, sealed in one-way valve bags, and rushed to your door at peak freshness.
Our signature blends are crafted with intermittent fasters and mindful drinkers in mind — clean finish, no oily aftertaste, lower acidity on the palate.
Every bag lists the farm, the elevation, the roast date, and tasting notes you can actually trust. No marketing fluff — just what's in the bag.
We pay our growers above Fair Trade prices and our roastery team a living wage. Coffee tastes better when everyone along the way is treated right.
I started LeanBrew out of a 600-square-foot warehouse in 2019 after years of drowning good beans in cream and sweetener. Once I learned how a properly roasted, high-grown coffee actually tastes — bright, balanced, naturally sweet — I never went back.
Today our small team roasts a few hundred pounds a week in San Antonio. Each batch is cupped, profiled, and dialed in before it ever reaches a bag. If you're chasing a lighter morning routine, we think you'll feel right at home here.
